We are truly in uncharted territory right now with COVID-19, and the best way for all of us to stay healthy and slow the spread is to self quarantine and practice social distancing. Naturally, this is directly impacting the work we are so passionate about here at Seniors Helping Seniors, Greater Boston & Metrowest, but with strength and creativity, we will all get through this.
We are all going through this challenging time together, and we compiled our Messages of Hope video to share with our community. Please watch our video here on Facebook, and we hope it helps to brighten your day.
We’re currently offering task-specific services to help you during this challenging time, including check in-service and grocery shopping/delivery (team members have been provided with medical-grade masks, gloves and cleaning supplies). Click here to learn more about how we’re addressing COVID-19 or call us at (617) 877-3163if there is any support we can provide you with.
We understand how staying home and social distancing is a daunting task. To help with this, our team has compiled tips on ways to remain engaged and active while in quarantine, including hobby suggestions, virtual experiences, social engagement and self-care. See all of our tips here
Caregiver and client support are also the cornerstones of our services at SHS. While the format may look different, we’ve been able to roll out virtual Caregiver Support sessions and one Family Support session, both online via Zoom. Stay tuned as we plan to roll out more virtual support sessions. Please continue to stay up-to-date with us by subscribing to our newsletter just below this blog post and by following us on Facebook.
I am wishing you all good health, a sense of optimism when you’re feeling gray, and resilience through the times ahead. From all of us at SHS, we are thinking of you, looking forward to seeing you in-person soon, and remain available to support you in creative and non-traditional ways during this time.
